Leanne Thompson, MA, LPCC (last name previously Ramsey and is now LPCC)
Leanne is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) who earned her Master of Arts (M.A.) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walsh University in 2021. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Clinical Psychology from Cleveland State University in 2017. While earning her Master’s degree, she served as Co-President for the university’s chapter of Chi Sigma Iota (CSI): Alpha Mu, between 2018-2021. Chi Sigma Iota is a renowned honors society recognizing professional excellence in counseling and mental health therapy services. Her areas of clinical expertise include treating a range of depressive and other mood-related issues (such as Bipolar & Depressive problems), Anxiety & other Trauma and Stressor-related problems (such as Phobias, Obsessive-Compulsive, Panic, PTSD, ‘phase of life’, Dissociative-related disorders and problems); ADHD, Behavioral /Substance Use and various other issues. Leanne has experience treating various populations with therapeutic needs ranging from non-clinical, or ‘typical’ stresses or temporary adjustments to more severe, persistent, and difficult ‘clinical’ issues and disorders; of which range between 9 years old through 65+ years old. Leanne believes providing therapeutic services with thorough and efficient long-term results surely holds various important skills, knowledge, and experience-based factors of primary focus; however, of such a wide array, Leanne beliefs the most impactful of factors derive from prioritizing the highly tailored & individualized treatment processes hold critical value past the surface level concept, of which Leanne works to routinely and successively integrate throughout therapy to ensure each case be highly individualized and ‘one of a kind’, while also ensuring services uphold professional, legal, and ethical standards, supporting evidence-based, best practices. Leanne also believes that highlighting the final key-component of a strong, collaborative, and genuine development of trust the a therapist must work earnestly and successively to establish with clients, used to establish and continually foster further advancements and related successes throughout therapeutic work and overall overall long term goal achievement for clients.
Leanne’s passion for client-based clinical work extends outside of the office setting, as Leanne also shows her passion for mental, emotional, and behavioral advocacy efforts in support of the overall betterment of society, at-large. Leanne is flexible in her clinical work hours and offers services through Telehealth (virtual) sessions, in-person/in-office sessions, or a combination to support hybrid options to best accommodate client needs & scheduling preferences.
