Gelisa Greer, M.Ed is a licensed professional counselor and social change advocate, servicing North Eastern Ohio, in Cuyahoga, Medina, Stark, and Summit counties. Gelisa has been researching child development and family systems for over 10 years. In that time, she has worked in direct service with several populations (foster care & system involved, early childhood, maternal depression, school age, drop-out, and adults). She is actively pursuing certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) as well as working toward becoming an ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP). Her experiences with families and youth of Northeast Ohio have inspired a journey of youth empowerment and professional development for educators, community workers and other change agents. In addition to her therapeutic work and professional development services, Gelisa is the founder of her own business, The G Society, LLC which has a goal of spreading mental health awareness throughout communities, through youth programming, that promotes optimal physical, emotional, and behavioral health.
