CARLA EVERSTIJN, LISW-S

Carla Everstijn is a Licensed Independent Supervising Social Worker with over 20 years of experience counseling individuals and relationships. She obtained her bachelor’s degree at Butler University and her master’s degree at Indiana University. She completed her internship at the Counseling and Psychological Services Center at Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis, where she obtained specialties in college student counseling and career counseling. Carla has held positions in community mental health, outpatient psychiatric care, and private practice, providing clinical treatment for adults, adolescents, and children. She specializes in depression, anxiety, loss and grief, LGBTQ issues, and women’s issues. Carla is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, is certified in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, and is a Level II Gottman Method Couples Therapist.
