Roxanne Sellards practices therapy using a client-centered and strengths-based style. She works with clients meeting them where they’re at and helping them find and use their strengths to overcome life’s obstacles. She is licensed through the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. Roxy holds a Master’s degree from Indiana Wesleyan University and a Bachelor’s degree from Mount Vernon Nazarene University, both in Social Work. Roxy is currently working on her Independent License.
Roxy has previously held positions at private practices doing counseling with clients of all ages, Veteran’s Affairs working with homeless veterans, and Family Life Counseling working with children in school and adults of all ages. Roxy has helped clients gain a sense of belongingness by leading women’s and children’s groups and also uses alternative forms of therapy such as artwork to help relieve stress, depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, and various other diagnoses. Roxy has also worked in community mental health doing case management helping clients in everyday life circumstances.
Roxy feels passionate about mental health recovery and understands that every person has a life story and sometimes just needs someone to listen.
