Carla Everstijn is a licensed clinical social worker who provides psychotherapy to adolescents and adults. She earned her MSW in interpersonal practice from Indiana University and her BA in international studies summa cum laude from Butler University. She has additional training in international social work and has taught undergraduate social work and political science classes. Carla has worked as part of an interdisciplinary team and has over seven years experience treating mood disorders, anxiety, and relationship issues. She is also a certified mediator for adults and families. Her research interests include adoption, culture adjustment, and the effects of early childhood deprivation on development. She has specialized training in equine-assisted psychotherapy, and trauma recovery. She is a current member of the National Association of Social Workers, Mental Health professionals of Medina County and EAGALA (equine assisted) and the Growth and Learning Association. |
